Beau Dunn is an American contemporary artist working across sculpture, painting, photography, and neon. Born Brittany Beau Dunn in Los Angeles in 1987, she earned her BFA in Sculpture from Pepperdine University.
Her signature works include the Plastic series (Barbie portraits embedded with Swarovski crystals) and the Need Money For neon series (Need Money For Birkin, Need Money For Botox, Need Money For Couture, Need Money For Therapy). Her Trojan and Hello Kitty consumer-culture pieces critique the commercial objects that quietly tell women who to be.
Her artwork is collected by Kylie Jenner, Lily Collins, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Rebel Wilson, and Claudia Schiffer. She has shown at De Re Gallery (PLASTIC, 2016), Maddox Gallery London and Gstaad, Phillips Auction Mayfair London (Glam Barbie #1, 2015), Bonham Gallery, Art Angels, and Plastic Gallery.
