I’m Beau. Artist and creator, Beverly Hills born and raised, and I’ve spent my life making something beautiful out of everything.
Art is what I do first. For twenty years it’s been my longest conversation — the Plastic series (Barbie portraits sealed in Swarovski crystals), Need Money For in pink neon, Hello Kitty, sculpture, paintings, neons. People have been calling me the Barbie of Beverly Hills since I was twelve. It’s a wink, not a label. The doll has a beating heart. I’ve spent two decades making work that proves it.
From the art came everything else. 3 Bulldog Films — the female-led production company I co-founded. Beverly Hills Farm — the olive oil and raw honey company my best friend Tash and I built from scratch. Plastic Creative Studio. Who Is She Wearing. Each one started as something I wanted to exist in the world, and didn’t.
Beausworld is the house I built for all of it. One place where the art, the films, the farm, the family, the friends, the animals, the chickens, the horses we sponsor — all the things I love — live together.
I’ve been through more in this body than people might guess from the outside. Cancer. Autoimmune disease. Five years on crutches and in a wheelchair. Lipedema, a rare fat disease they said wouldn’t go away — it did. I made it go away. Those years live in me. They informed the work, the mother I am, the patience I have with the things I’m making. But they aren’t the whole story. They are part of it.
I’m a mom of twins. A wife to my best friend James. A friend to a circle of women I’d do anything for. Motherhood is part of me, not the whole of me. That’s the most honest thing I can tell you about being a woman who is many things at once.
I hand-built every inch of this site — every room, every photograph, every paragraph, every line of code. I designed it the way I would have wanted to find it. You’re not signing up for a newsletter. You’re walking into a world.
The kettle’s on. Stay as long as you want.
xoxo, Beau
For the woman making something beautiful out of everything.
It’s not Barbie’s World.
