Down Under Photo Diary

Four Seasons Sydney // Qualia Hamilton Island

I am so excited to welcome you to the new ! I have been working very hard over the past few months to bring my friends and viewers a new experience of sharing my life with you. I always find photo diary posts a little overwhelming, as there's so much to share all in one post, but as my first post is so important, I wanted to share my amazing trip to Australia we took this summer. We started off in Sydney where we stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel. Toronga Zoo invited us to have a private tour, and get hands on with all the amazing animals - this was by far the highlight of my trip, as most of you know what an animal lover I am! We were able to take water taxi's over to the Zoo, and passed the magnificent Sydney Opera House. Of course I did some fabulous shopping in Sydney that included One Teaspoon, Zaliah , Zimmerman, Bassike , just to name a few. We dined at mouth watering restaurants, with ICEBERGS being on the top of my list … who could beat a view like that? A week and a half into our trip, we flew to Hamilton Island, up north, and checked into the luxurious Qualia Resort. We all had our own bungalows that included our own pools. The resort is located on an island called Hamilton Island, where you drive golf carts around. The first thing we planned was squeezing Koalas, which honestly was the best moment in my life. I know I may sound a little dramatic, but I have been waiting my entire life to get my hands on one of those fluffy little nuggets, and Willy was everything I dreamed of. He was cute, cuddly, and I wore my Zaliah leather jacket, that protected my arms from his long claws, so no scratches ! Qualia had us picked up at the hotel by a helicopter and brought to the great barrier reef on our last day, so we could snorkel. It was an overcast day, but as soon as we lifted in the heli, the clouds parted and the sun came out. You cannot describe in words how beautiful the reef truly is, and overall, the trip was life changing.
