I am so excited to be partnering up with Sterling Vineyards, to bring you "How to Host The Most Glamorous Oscards Viewing Party." The Oscars have been a very special occasion for my family and I since I was a little girl. I created my speech at the age of four years old, with the first line saying , "I love you mommy!"
Today I am sharing my inspiration to host your very own viewing party for Oscars 2016!
Here is a list of how to create your very own party:
1. WINE! A few months ago I visited Sterling Vineyards in Napa Valley. I absolutely fell in love with their vineyards, and of course their wine. My favorite from their collection, is the Sterling Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. The Sauvignon Blanc, has a great grapefruit, citrus, fig and melon highlight. This along with the Chardonnay, Cabernet and Pinor Noir, are the best start to creating your own Oscar party, and making sure everyone's palettes are happy.
2. Watch the Films ! I am lucky enough to get movie screeners from the Academy and Sag, but the best way to prep for your Oscar Party is to watch the films! Being updated on the actors, and rooting for your favorites, make the night unforgettable.
3. Red Carpet! This is one of my favorite parts of the Oscars. Tivo or watch live with your friends the pre-shows with the Red Carpet. Its great to gossip over which dresses you love or hate! I bought a red carpet for my party, which will make a fun addition to any room - and great for a photo op!
4. Decorations! Decorations are one of my favorite parts to hosting parties! The Oscars are known for the metallics, meaning gold, silver, and black should be your base colors and can inspire your vision, whether it be simple or complex. I ran down to Party City, to grab essentials for any Oscar Party - which included balloons (gold and silver), silver and gold star glitter, plates and silverware.
5. Snacks! Along with wine, this is one of the most important aspects to hosting the best party of the year! Popcorn is an absolute must, and fitting for the Oscars. I ordered Garrett Popcorn , which came in amazing silver and white tins. This is the perfect size because if your guests don't finish their individual tins, they can take them home as a party favor. My go to party snack is a cheese platter. I start with a cutting board, and add my favorite cheeses. I learned from my beautiful mother Laura Dunn that you should always add fruit to the platter, which is a fabulous addition to cheese, and the wine. I added glass jars to my party, that contain Twix and Snickers, that both have gold packaging (and go perfectly with our theme). While at Party City I found the most adorable Jelly Beans that were popcorn flavor. This attention to detail will impress your guests, and be great for photos!
6. Pictures! Polaroids are the best way to snap away and keep Memories of your night forever. They are fun and your guests will be happy to take some home as another great party favor gift.
7. Party Favors! Along with popcorn, and polaroids, I gifted my guests charm bracelets from Kate Spade , with customized charms to remember the night. They have a great vintage feel, and I paired mine up with a wine glass in honor Sterling Vineyards :)
8. Guests ! Invite fun friends that love movies! I invited French and Finn Fay, who came dressed for the occasion with glitter top hats and sunglasses - just as if they were walking the red carpet! LOL!
Can't wait to see pictures of your Oscar Viewing Parties!!! xx

My Hotel CA Bomber jacket had just arrived the previous day, and thought it was a perfect pairing with some ripped boyfriend jeans :)
Hope you guys have a great Super Bowl weekend xx
I started my New Years resolution early this year, as I have been religiously committed to working out with Erica Hood and Michelle Cameron, my personal trainers at Body By Simone.
Body By Simone was created by Simone De La Rue, who currently has studios in LA and NYC. BBS creates strong, powerful bodies from the inside out, achieving the desired dancer's physique - long and lean in an exclusive and private boutique environment
I have taken privates at BBS because of numerous health issues including two herniated discs in my lower back. I have seen such a change in my body, due to working on my core strength - and to be super honest, have little to no back pain now because of my working out.
If you live in either city, I highly recommend putting BBS on your NYE Goal List for 2016! If you dont live in LA or NY, you can order the BBS DVD HERE and workout in the comfort of your own home.
Happy Black Friday! The day we have all been waiting for all year long!

A few weeks ago I went on an amazing getaway with my girlfriends to Napa Valley, to visit Sterling Vineyards. My friend Caitlyn Chase along with five other girlfriends were graciously hosted by Sterling Wines, for a weekend filled with vineyard tours, grape stomping, a walk through on how wine is made, and beautiful meals. Sterling is one of the most well-known and premier winemakers in the country, so it was an absolute honor to experience the winery and learn more about living your life with more sparkle, a new brand new campaign they call #SterlingLuster.
The weekend begin as the girls and myself checked into The Andaz Hotel in downtown Napa. The hotel is stunning, and we stayed in beautiful suites which included our own fireplace, living room, bedroom, and stand alone bathtub. Sterling hosted our first night, and reception dinner at Carpe Diem Wine Bar, which was only a few blocks away from our hotel. We had a beautiful dinner getting to know one another better, which included pairings of a variety of Sterling Wines.
Early the next morning we boarded a luxury bus to head to Sterling Vineyards in Calistoga. Arriving to Sterling Vineyards was beyond impressive, as the vineyard sits on 70 acres of stunning land. We were beyond lucky to arrive to the vineyard during "crush," when the grapes are harvested off the vines - this happens to be the most exciting and popular time to visit Napa Valley.
Sterling had set up a private tour of the winemaking process, which was so special since the facilities are not usually open to the public. Our group participated in harvesting, sorting, de-stemming, crushing, fermenting, clarifying, and bottling - a great behind the scenes opportunity. After our tour with the winemakers, we took the aerial tram, up to the top of the mountain where the wine tasting happens. The views from the tram and to top of the winery were remarkable - and definitely worth a visit. This is when our wine tasting tour began. We toured the stunning grounds, with the public, and tried the bottled versions of what we just helped make.
Our lunch was served in a private room, where we enjoyed a variety of Sterling Wine pairings along with a stunning lunch that included grilled chicken, steak, salads and pastas to name a few of the yummy bites. My favorite wine that was paired with our lunch was the Proprietary White — light and perfect pairing with our lunch.
After lunch, we had the opportunity to try grape stomping! Grape stomping is when grapes are crushed by foot in vats to release their juices and begin fermentation.. Although the method is no longer used in current times, it was such a fun experience. (remember I LOVE LUCY!!!)
After grape stomping we visited the "Welcome to Napa Sign," where we got to take some pictures and try a group jumping shot that definitely turned out interesting.
Next, we headed to Rutherford House which is a gorgeous private estate used to host special guests, private events and parties. The house is 10,000 square foot, 5-bedrooms, and sits on a gorgeous vineyard. This was another great opportunity to walk through the vineyards and around the estate that was surrounded by overgrown trees, beautiful flowers. Soon after we took a cooking class with Chef Joey Altman, a James Beard Award winner where we were given a specific meal (or portion of the meal) to make, which he assisted of course. I had the opportunity to make Butternut Squash Purèe. I have never participated in a hands-on cooking class, but not only did it get everyone involved in making our meal, but taught us so much about cooking, and meal pairing with wine. (my favorite being the Sterling Sparkling Brut)

I have to admit, I had a fun summer traveling, exploring, and having fun around the world. Traveling has reeked havoc on my hair, from beach water and sun in Hawaii, to the waters in the south of France. Getting back to LA has its perks though, my darling Nikki Lee at Nine Zero One Salon. I have been discussing going dark for a while now, and decided it was time to pull the trigger. With traveling and braving all different weather and elements, my hair took a serious toll and it was time for a change. Hope you guys love it!
As most know by now, Glamsquad is one of my beauty must haves. Living in LA has spoiled us, with the on demand app services that come to you. Glamsquad is the one leading the beauty front, with hair stylists or makeup artists coming straight to your front door. I attended a gorgeous luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel with my girlfriends to celebrate the continued success Glamsquad has had in Los Angeles along with meeting the owner and ceo Alexandra Wilson (we love supporting #girlbosses!). If you haven't done so already, download Glamsquad now! xx

Laying poolside can be relaxing and luxurious: but secretly damaging at the same time. Your face and body should never reveal your love for the sun or chlorine, particularly during swimsuit season. But spending too many hours basking in the sun — and then add in a few too many poolside margaritas, anyone could end up a little hung over and splotchy. But with the right pool side essentials, you can go ahead and lay out — and your skin won’t be the wiser. Here, the key elements for fun in the sun.
I am not a huge sunscreen fan because of the over bearing smell - and layer of residual that is left coating your skin. Until now! My dear friend Cheryl suggested I try Coola Sport, after using it on her two beautiful children. Organic, ultra sheer, naturally scented, and antioxidant infused. YES PLEASE! This has become my every day go - to and perfect for pool side. Its easily recognizable with its tiffany blue hue, which makes it so easy to grab out of my messy purse.
Whether your poolside, beachside, or at a festival, Evian Facial Sprays are always a must have! I travel with these in my purse incase I ever feel over heated, whip one out, and start spraying. The refreshing mist removes perspiration, harmful salt, or chlorine. This mini sized bottle rehydrates sun-burned skin, leaving you pool side ready.
One women I owe my pool ready body to is Jenni Blafer, of Sunkissed Jenni for my perfect bronzed booty. My problem is, I can't bring Jenni with me everywhere I go! Thats why I bring St Tropez, everyday gradual tan with me on trips and poolside. It nourishes the body, and includes skincare benefits such as soothing aloe vera, while gradually giving you a golden tan. A must have!
Limited Edition Tom Ford lip conditioner in the color Sweet Spot is a must have for any poolside jet-setter. Including a gorgeous mix of shea butter and vitamin E and C, helps your gorgeous lips keep hydrated, colorful and filled with moisture - perfect for the poolside. Did I mention the case is STUNNING with the gold color accents - I will not be ashamed to pull this out for any touch ups!
Shiseido, Extra smooth sun protection lotion in SPF 38 PA++ is an extra-smooth, sheer sunscreen for the face and body that defends powerful UVA/UVB rays. Water resistant up to 80 minutes, makes this lotion the prefect pool side necessity for anti-aging and anti-burn fun. Its small enough to keep in your bag for every day use.
I always keep a moisturizer close by when at the pool because I like to keep my face hydrated in the heat. This Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturizer is a must have because while hydrating, it minimizes appearance of lines and wrinkles - aka anti aging! Two for one! Enriched with sea plant extracts this moisturizer is so light, you can't even tell its on. Its container is a great travel size and perfect for a girl on the go.
Sunglasses are an obvious pool essential, but with so many hot pairs out in the market, how can you choose? My favorite for the past year have been the amazing Celine Audrey Sunnies. Polarized, and beyond chic, they are the perfect must have everyday sunglasses. Oversized and designed after Audrey Hepburn herself, they come in a number of different colors and are flattering on just about everyone.
I was so excited to celebrate Casey, one of my best friends bridal showers this past weekend in Calabasas, California.
Every so often I feel adventurous- as I normally keep my day eye make-up and lip pretty simple, but felt extremely inspired by all the spring beauty I've been studying and playing around with recently, along with it being the first day of spring.
I worked with make-up artist Alixandria Taylor and played around with perfecting skin with the beauty blender, one of my favorite spring tools and the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Palette to give a light but still powerful pop for my eyes. We used Colour Pop in Scandy Lippie Stix for a bright base to my lips with one of my favorite glosses, the Smashbox Be Legendary Gloss over.

My biggest beauty secret is out, #901MELROSEPLACE. I am so excited to announce the grand opening of Nine Zero One Salon at their new location on the forever classic Melrose Place. Co-Owner, Nikki Lee, is the mane women in my life, meaning her and the 901 team are the only ones I would trust with my locks. The new salon is one of the most stunning and detail oriented spaces with everything from inspiration quotes on the wall to mirrored mosaic wall where stylist blend formula. Nine Zero One has merged worlds of beauty and luxury while keeping their brand friendly and accessible. With the launch of #901MELROSEPLACE, owners, Nikki and Riawna also launched two other exciting projects, beauty and dry bar shop 901 too and Beauty Coach , a one stop shop for all ones beauty needs and beauty tutorials. I am so proud of my girls! This was a little ombré Nikki did on me yesterday to start the new year. We wanted to go with fresh, and lighten the bottom up, while keeping a dark base. This will be a great color going into spring !

Welcome to Munchkin Museum of Contemporary Art. This was the biggest project I've worked on, which spanned from 2013 - 2014. I was asked to curate the Munchkin HQ in Van Nuys, California. I was able to play creative director, curator and artist, for this unique and one of a kind space. I was asked to bring in the best of the best artists from around the world, to create the largest privately owned custom art and street art collection, which included inside and outside space.
This past year I have focused on putting together my own art show, but working with other creatives on this project, and more importantly, my friends, was one of the best learning experiences. The first wall completed, was hand painted by Gregory Siff, which I was lucky enough to help with. We had a list of every single employee of Munchkin, and characteristics of the individual. As the first wall in the waiting room, some may say this may be the first impression of the company,
I had an art series idea called "Road Kill," that inspired the basketball court. The series was to be created by mixed materials, and would be crime scene displays, with the feature of a luxury item, such as a Birkin Bag, still intact. This concept led to the creation of the new "Road Kill," concept where employees were sketched , and Laker colors were used as crime scene tape make up the lines.
I was lucky enough to have met my friend RISK through Gregory Siff a few years ago, and he came on board and collaborated with our friend Shepard Fairey in an amazing spin off of their PEACE & JUSTICE collaboration that was featured at Art Basel, in Miami.
Next, is one of my favorites, and one of my best friends, 2wenty's infamous Facebook Social Cigarettes. 2wenty is well known for this satirical comparison of Facebook with that of "cancer sticks," which he created in 2011, which started as a street art campaign that gained popularity on the west coast from San Francisco to Los Angeles. This piece was one of the most difficult as 2wenty had to hand draw and paint this piece on corrugated metal.
Mear One, is one of the most talented graffiti artists I have ever had the honor of meeting, knowing, or working with. He created a piece called David & Goliath , which you can see the time lapse video of the making of here.
I was so excited to have Curtis Kulig fly in from New York to create his fun curvy wall. My concept was to have his infamous LOVE ME saying, but Curtis, was in much more of a LOVE mood that day. This was my first time meeting Curtis, and he was so laid back, and couldn't have been nicer.
My wall was based on my series entitled "Next Generation," which is my street art series which includes little children holding satirical signs begging for things they need. The hot pink background really pops, and I decided to include the title of my upcoming show "PLASTIC," in bold letter up top.
The last but not least, is the collaboration with my friends This Means Mar and MadSteez. The lunch room was the most difficult area, because it was such a large and open space. I wasn't sure if I include multiple artists, or just have one artists work on the entire space solo. We held a meeting with This Means Mar and Mad Steez which turned into a great brainstorming session, that won them the job of this monstrous space. Of course everyone loves a good sports theme, but if anyone can do sports well, its these two boys. I am not only friends with these two, but such a fan of their work, and how their two styles come together so well through the bright pops of color.
I have had a concept of an exterior/interior project for a few years, where I wanted to put synthetic grass inside. This was an amazing opportunity! We had a football field custom hand stitched and laid. This gives the lunch room an exterior feel, although being inside.
I am so excited to finally sure this amazing project with you, and hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. It was so fun to collaborate with friends, and meet new friends through this experience.

1. makeup that transcends throughout the day and never fails
C L E A N is beautiful makeup that no matter what the time of the day, or the latest trends, that will always impress. This look was inspired by my day to day look, of minimal but still covering. Working with world renown makeup artist Dana Delaney, we played with around with the basic kit, which every girl should have. Starting with the skin, Dana applied Chanel Hydra Beauty Cream along with Chanel Hydra Beauty Eye Cream. Applying Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer under the eye, Dana illuminated and removed any under eye darkness or circles from lack of sleep. Next, she covered the skin in Chanel Vitalumiere (Color Aqua Biege) which gave my skin the dewy and fresh glow. Heading to the eyes next, Dana worked with Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long wear EyeShadow along with the Kevyn Aucoin Volume Mascara and Brunette Brow Pencil. This look is inspired from the idea that women can do anything, and never have to change this iconic and fresh look. Thanks Dana!

Happy Thanksgiving to all you beautiful friends! We are going for a golden Thanksgiving this year, and wanted to share my inspirations. Whether its setting a gold table, or throwing some gold eye shadow on... this look gives a glam over the top holiday look for any event. I had GLAMSQUAD come over late last night to give me a fresh and beautiful blow out before the Holiday. I have my favorite gold eye shadows from Charlotte Tilbury "The Golden Goddess" collection , that includes golden eye shadows, full lashes, pink cheek blush, lipstick and lip lustre lip gloss. This is a fun package that includes the whole look, and makes it easy if your traveling or want to make look effortless and super easy. To make your table look super amazing, we painted (you can spray paint) pumpkins gold, which takes less then 20 minutes for a real pop of glam. Add a few candles, pin cones, and your look is fall fabulousness. Hope you and your families have an amazing and very Thankful day.
I've been under the weather the past two weeks, and my dear friend Jeanette paid a visit to hang out and sketch me in my favorite wild fox pjs ! Not only are they the softest, but they are so adorable and fit perfect! Jeanette is one of the most talented illustrators I know, and specializes in runway designs. If you have not seen her work you must check it out at the above link. Thanks Jeanette !! xx
I'm not sure if many of you know about the history of Munchkin Inc, but here's a quick story... When I was a baby, I frequently tried to grab diet coke (glass bottle of course) out of my dad's hand, as I wanted to drink what he was drinking. One afternoon he fashioned a nipple on an empty diet coke bottle, poured baby formula into it, and fed it to me. From this came a new business idea, and Munchkin was born.

Munchkin hosted their first luncheon and trunk show at our house this past week to introduce the new Miracle 360 degree trainer cup along with the other fun products that included the bottle brush, the mozart cube, and the new Latch Bottle! The party was planned by Details Details and included pops of amazing color to reflect the company logo and brand.
